Indonesia: Support for Batam's Green City Plan with Tree Planting

On August 24 Panasonic Industrial Devices Batam (PIDSG-BT) donated and planted 250 teak trees in support of the Green Batam Program by the Batam municipal government to greenify the city.
Both the municipal government and corporations are cooperating in this program to create more green areas in the city. The urban development of Batam has led to the extension and improvement or repair works of the road system to connect the center of the city with the industrial districts, residential areas and the airport in the suburbs. Planting trees along the roads is good for the environment and enhances the cityscape.
Thirteen CSR employees of PIDSG-BT joined in planting the donated teak trees alongside the road connecting the city center with Hang Nadim International Airport.
PIDSG-BT is cooperating to contribute to the regional development of Batam.
