2020.04.07
Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corporation (PMPC) has run the Eco Learning Program (ELP) for local elementary school children, to raise awareness toward the environment along the next generation and help achieve "A Better Life, A Better World." Some 29,000 children have participated from 2010 up to now.
An ELP lesson was held at Siena College of Taytay in Rizal on January 10, with 602 fourth to sixth graders joining in to learn about global warming and other issues. President Sasaki of PMPC started off with a message of encouragement to the children. "The Eco Learning Program is one we are active with in order to realize the vision of Panasonic's founder, Konosuke Matsushita. We must remember that we are closely tied to nature and to appreciate the gifts that nature provides."
The children learned about the causes and effects of global warming in a video, and about how various technologies are reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
Another lesson learning about the environment was held for 824 fourth to sixth graders at Kapalaran Elementary School in Taytay (Rizal) on January 31.
