Malaysia: Tree Planting

2020.02.06

On November 30, 10 companies of the Panasonic Group in Klang Valley, Malaysia, held a tree planting event at Panasonic Shah Alam Sports Complex and Persiaran Perkilangan. The aim of the event is to help maintain a sustainable environment for future generations. Volunteer employees numbering 450 joined in to plant 5,500 seedlings.
Associate Director Wong Siew Choong of Panasonic Management Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PMAM) commented that "Planting trees generates more oxygen, reduces soil erosion and air pollution, lowers the heat, and makes for beautiful scenery. The other great thing about this sort of event is that so many people can together contribute to society, regardless of their age or gender."
The Panasonic Group in Malaysia is committed to protecting the environment as part of its corporate citizenship activities.
