PMPC’s COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY: TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY AT LA MESA WATERSHED.
June 14, 2024 – La Mesa Watershed, Quezon City In a strong demonstration of environmental stewardship, the Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corporation (PMPC) held a successful tree planting activity on June 14, 2024, at the LaMesa Watershed, in partnership with the “A Million Trees Foundation.” The event brought together PMPC’s top management, union members, and volunteer employees, all united by a shared commitment to protecting and preserving the environment.
A total of 400 saplings, primarily composed of Narra trees, were planted during the activity. Narra, the national tree of the Philippines, is known for its durability and ecological value, making it a fitting choice for reforestation efforts in one of Metro Manila’s most vital water sources.
The event was marked by enthusiastic participation from all sectors of the PMPC workforce. Top Management worked side-by-side with union members and volunteers, showcasing a spirit of unity and shared purpose.
Their collective effort not only contributed to the greening of the watershed but also reinforced PMPC’s dedication to corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.
