Vietnam: Kicking Off “PGI in Action” Campaign for Environment Month
In June, Panasonic Vietnam Group (PVG) kicked off the “PGI in Action” campaign to mark Environment Month. As part of this initiative, “Green Contribution Day” events were held across seven PVG factories and offices, with approximately 2,500 employees participating. Employees brought used batteries and recyclable waste from home and exchanged them for eco-friendly products, gaining hands-on experience with the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Together with the PGI e-learning program conducted during the same period, the campaign provided an opportunity for employees to deepen their understanding of the Panasonic Group’s long-term environmental vision, PGI.
From July through August, PVG is also hosting the “PGI in Action – Circular Innovation Competition,” encouraging employees to submit innovative ideas related to the circular economy. Through this initiative, the companies aim to foster a culture where sustainability is embedded in both business operations and management practices.
In addition, in early June, Panasonic Appliances Vietnam organized a large-scale environmental event in Hung Yen Province in collaboration with the local Department of Agriculture and Environment. Thousands of people participated in the event, which included the collection of used batteries and waste, as well as tree planting activities—strengthening environmental awareness through engagement with the local community.
