Tree Plantation Activity Held at Panasonic Bengaluru Branch
— Fostering Harmony Between People and Nature —

As part of Panasonic’s global environmental initiative Panasonic Eco Relay, Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLS India) conducted a tree plantation activity on June 20, 2025, at its Bengaluru branch. This employee-driven CSR initiative was organized for the Bengaluru branch, with the aim of contributing to a more sustainable future through local engagement.

The activity was carried out in collaboration with Forests by Heartfulness (FBH), an India-based environmental NGO committed to creating spaces where humans and nature coexist in harmony. FBH has planted over 800,000 saplings to date and aims to plant 30 million trees across India by 2027. Under the NGO’s guidance, participants adopted a symbiotic farming approach, planting Moringa saplings among turmeric crops—a method known to enhance soil fertility and biodiversity.

More than 30 employees from the INDD, PMIN, and SSD teams at the Bengaluru branch participated in the initiative. A total of over 40 saplings were planted on the CREST campus, and their ongoing care will be managed by the NGO to ensure healthy growth and long-term impact.

This initiative is expected to contribute to multiple environmental benefits including enhancing local biodiversity, rehabilitating soil, reducing pollution, creating wildlife habitats, and offsetting carbon emissions. Notably, the entire activity was carried out with zero financial expenditure, relying solely on voluntary employee participation and collaboration with community partners.

PLS India remains committed to promoting environmental stewardship through ongoing Eco Relay initiatives and will continue to empower employees to take meaningful action toward a more sustainable society.
