Environmental Education Activities Across China
PEXCNA held a hands-on learning program on sustainable development
On May 7, PEXCNA held a hands-on learning program at the Panasonic Memorial Hall in Beijing.
The theme was sustainable development, and more than 70 students and teachers from Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Experimental School joined.
With guidance from the museum director, participants toured the management philosophy and business area.
They learned about the idea that “a company is a public entity of society” and Panasonic’s eco-friendly solutions in housing and smart city fields.
Two STEM programs were also held:
- “Run! Green Energy Car”
- “Introduction to Industrial Robots”
Participants built renewable energy cars and experienced smart manufacturing technology.
Through these activities, they gained a better understanding of how technology can help society.
This program gave young people a chance to enjoy science, learn about sustainability, and develop creativity.
PWAPCGZ held Family Open Day events
To celebrate its 33rd anniversary, Panasonic Wanbao AP Compressor Guangzhou (PWAPCGZ) held Family Open Day events in late May.
The theme was “Let’s move together toward a green future.”
Various activities, including environmental education, were carried out.
Environmental volunteer activity
On May 26, PWAPCGZ held a bottle cap collection activity with the theme:
“Small caps, big future.”
A total of 107 families (about 236 people) joined the event.
Green factory visit program
On May 31, 57 families (about 131 people) visited PWAPCGZ’s green factory.
They took part in factory tours, environmental learning classes, disaster prevention and fire safety activities, the Panasonic Train science class, and mental health programs.
Children enjoyed the activities while learning about eco-friendly manufacturing and environmental protection.
Employees were also encouraged to donate good books for elementary school students and books no longer used at home.
As of June 5, 142 employees had participated, and more than 200 books were collected in total.
The donated books were sent to elementary schools in western Guangdong Province, providing children with learning opportunities and warm support, while also contributing to the development of local education.
