Environmental Activities Conducted Across Countries for Environment Month FY2026 (United Kingdom)

In terms of the event, it was an improvement on our previous litter clean when we had torrential rain! We were pleased that our usual area was not as bad as previously and so we went a little further afield - a few people stopped to thank us for what we were doing.

Amongst our haul were a number of vapes (instead of cigarette butts) an iron bar and hub cap from a car. We were supported by the local geese who also appeared grateful for our work.

The team managed to collect a significant amount of litter, filling a total of nine bags. Most of the waste consisted of plastic items and other general trash, highlighting the importance of keeping public spaces clean and protecting the local environment.
