Environmental Education Activities Carried Out Across China (June–July 2026)

PEXCNA and PMX Held a Sustainability Science Class

On June 3, Panasonic Operational Excellence Co., Ltd. China / (PEXCNA), together with Panasonic Manufacturing Xiamen Co., Ltd. (PMX), held the “Panasonic Science Class: Sweet Fun with Science” at Tian'an Primary School in Xiamen.

Since 2018, PEXCNA and PMX have continued social contribution activities at the school, supporting projects such as traditional culture classes, a medicinal herb garden, and a desert plant garden. As part of this science class, PMX donated cooking appliances to the school.

Three programs were conducted during the event. In “Enjoy the Panasonic Train,” children learned how electromagnetism works through experiments using dry batteries, magnets, and copper wire coils. In “Run! Panasonic Green Energy Car,” they carried out battery charging and discharging experiments and learned about the difference in CO₂ emissions between gasoline-powered vehicles and electric vehicles. In addition, a food education class with a baking experience allowed children to make sweets using cooking appliances while learning about food and the environment.

Panasonic will continue to work with schools to promote science education activities and help raise environmental awareness.

PECSZ Carried Out an Environmental Education Activity for Children

To mark World Environment Day on June 5, volunteers from Panasonic Energy Suzhou Co., Ltd. (PECSZ) visited the Zangnan Campus of Suzhou Xujiang Experimental Primary School and carried out the “Green Environment Class” and “Enjoy the Panasonic Train” program for 45 students in Grade 5, Class 2.

The volunteers explained the background of World Environment Day, environmental challenges facing the planet, waste separation, and environmentally friendly transportation in an easy-to-understand way, helping children deepen their understanding of environmental protection.

The students then assembled electromagnetism experiment kits under the guidance of the volunteers. Using dry batteries, magnets, and copper wire coils, they learned how electrical energy is converted into magnetic energy and then into motion. Through these hands-on experiments, the children experienced the wonder and excitement of science.

School representatives commented that the activity, which combined environmental education with science experiences, provided a valuable learning opportunity that broadened the students’ perspectives.

Six Panasonic Companies in Hangzhou Carried Out an Environmental Education Activity for Children

On June 13, the CSR Office of six Panasonic companies in Hangzhou* held an environmental education event at the Hangzhou Changle Youth Development and Education Center.

Panasonic Green Energy Car.” Using videos and models, they learned how green energy cars work and about the benefits of clean energy.

Parents and children also used hand-crank generators to charge model cars and observed the relationship between stored energy and driving time. Through this experience, they gained a practical understanding of the connection between energy choices and CO₂ emissions.

In addition, participants created their own recycling boxes by drawing freely on used cardboard boxes. Through this activity, they experienced the concept of upcycling by turning used materials into something new and valuable.
