Cleanup Activities Carried Out Across Germany

Clean-Up Activity in Ottobrunn

On Wednesday, 15 July, a group of 13 motivated employees from PIEU Ottobrunn came together to join this year's cleanup event.

After having to postpone the activity at the end of June due to extreme heat, the team finally found a suitable weather window. Luckily, they managed to avoid the thunderstorms that passed through the Munich area and were able to set off on their mission.

This year’s cleanup was organized as a 90-minute route around the Ottobrunn office. Along the way, participants collected a surprising variety of waste left behind in public spaces. The most common items by far were cigarette butts, but additionally, the team collected discarded vapes, batteries, various plastic items, and even an abandoned rubber mat.

A big thank you goes to all participants for their enthusiasm and commitment. Through initiatives like this, PIEU employees continue to demonstrate that small actions can make a meaningful difference for our local environment and community.

Clean-Up Activity in Wiesbaden

On Wednesday 12 August, 9 amazing colleagues (and 1 equally amazing four-legged volunteer 🐶) rolled up their sleeves for our Clean Up along the Rhine in Wiesbaden.

A huge shout-out to our 9 dedicated colleagues who made time in their busy schedules and full to-do lists to take part. We collected a lot of garbage and had 9 bags full in relatively short time. Small team, big impact!

What made the day truly memorable: As the team wrapped up, local people passing by kept expressing their sincere appreciation and happiness for people like us taking action.

Their heartfelt thanks were the greatest reward and a wonderful reminder of the positive impact that collective action can have.
