Panasonic modified the commercially-successful VHS for professional use. Panasonic supplied the professional VHS, along with a metal-formulated tape (MII cassette tape), capable of high-quality analog recording, to KBS, the broadcaster from the Host Country. Panasonic also supplied NBC, the Broadcaster for the United States, with the MIIVTR system.
