R&D Organization

The R&D of Panasonic Group is comprised primarily of the parent, Panasonic Holdings Co., Ltd., which engaged in the research and development of company-wide strategies related to technology and Manufacturing, develops advanced technologies from a medium- to long-term perspective, and develops production and elemental technologies, and the “Advanced Development Division” of each operating company, which contributes to the business areas of each operating company. Panasonic Group is advancing global-based R&D in optimal locations in Japan, North America, Europe, and Asia by implementing the R&D system operated by local talents and skills.

Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd. / 3. Panasonic HVAC & CC Co., Ltd. / 4. Panasonic Energy Co., Ltd. / 5. Panasonic Industry Co., Ltd. / 6. Panasonic Corporation), specialized functional companies(Panasonic Operational Excellence Co., Ltd.), and affiliates both within Japan and overseas.

*On December 2, 2024, Panasonic Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. moved to a management structure in which 80% of its shares are held by funds managed by an affiliate of Apollo Global Management, Inc., and 20% by Panasonic Holdings Corporation.
