Psychological Safety Starts Here
A Community Where Ideas Turn Into Reality
“Psychological Safety Starts Here” is an in-house community that acts as the starting point for expanding psychological safety through the intentions of employees. It advances practical initiatives aiming to reduce work-related stress and boost the organization’s output.
This community’s goal is to foster an environment in meetings and everyday conversations where people naturally exchange positive phrases such as “That’s interesting. Let’s give it a try!” rather than engage in denial or nitpicking. Moreover, the community aspires to create a company where employees think, “Panasonic is the place where I can make my dreams come true,” and where, on Sunday evenings, they feel eager to come to the office the next day.
Participating members
Approx. 4,500 (as of November 2025)
Main activities
- Monthly events such as sharing sessions on best practices from other companies, and seminars inviting business leaders, athletes, and authors both inside and outside the company
- Study sessions, including those on careers, CliftonStrengths Finder, and psychological safety
- The secretariat of the community supports ideas from members, from planning through execution, which are made possible thanks to the high level of psychological safety among members

Aerospace Division-Volunteer Group
Space Business across the Group through Employees’ Aspiration for New Challenges
Aerospace Division began as a voluntary community that started from a small information-exchange gathering held by six employees in April 2019. In recognition of Panasonic’s track record in contributing to space development across diverse business domains such as electronic materials, batteries, and lighting, the related activities launched the initiative by reimagining the space market as a unified field rather than separate, isolated points.
Employees start from their own aspirations, identifying themes to focus on, recruiting teammates, and taking on repeated challenges. This has resulted in a gathering of people who share the same direction, regardless of age, gender, or department, and currently the group has grown to about 658 members in five years. Through a cross-team network that includes both younger and more veteran members, participants learn from one another and expand opportunities for growth.
With the company’s support, this community activity has grown even wider, to each business unit’s initiatives. What began as voluntary activities has developed into space projects that are part of the core business. This has led to tangible results, such as exploring new business opportunities, participating in national projects, and collaborating with external institutions.
Participating members
Approx. 658 (as of February 2024)
Main activities
- Publishing the space handbook, a resource that deepens understanding of the space field, with more than 10,000 views by employees
- Exhibiting at the All Panasonic Technology Symposium for five consecutive years, creating opportunities for direct dialogue with senior management
- Regularly hosting networking meetings with private space ventures and research institutions
- Promoting cross-organizational and cross-position collaboration through task force activities

Career Crossover
A Place to Create "Virtual Co-workers" Across Organizational Boundaries
Career Crossover is an in-house community where employees from different departments and work areas become “virtual co-workers” to enable easier consultation.
Mid-career hires in the Panasonic Group have increased in recent years, but one challenge they face is having fewer peers to consult with than new graduates. At the same time, they have unique knowledge gained through their experience in diverse companies and industries. Career Crossover was created as a platform to connect these mid-career professionals virtually for easier communication, to exchange questions and solve daily problems.
Today, it has grown into a place where many other employees and even management in addition to mid-career hires participate together. The community also functions as a place where people can obtain information with equity of access opportunities regardless of their position or department.
Participating members
Approx. 4,100 (as of December 2025)
Main activities
- Establishment of a consultation channel on the company’s internal chat tool for posting consultations on business issues
- Holding of online social gatherings on an irregular basis
- Establishment of an internal web page that summarizes the unique internal terminology of the Panasonic Group, eliminating knowledge gaps in terminology that often cause problems for mid-career professionals after they join the company

Panasonic Rainbow Network(PRN)
Community for LGBTQ+ persons and allies
Panasonic Rainbow Network (PRN) is an internal community for LGBTQ+ people and allies.
In recent years, the word LGBTQ+ has become increasingly familiar to people in Japan. Yet there are still many people who think that there are no LGBTQ+ people around them or who don’t know what they can do to help make a difference. PRN is working to inform as many employees as possible that there may be LGBTQ+ people on the same team as them. We believe that the more allies we have, the more people can express their individuality, resulting in greater psychological well-being in the workplace.
