Now Is the Time to Transform Both IT and Corporate Culture
Now Is the Time to Transform Both IT and Corporate Culture
The reason we deliberately call this initiative “PX” (Panasonic Transformation), rather than “DX” (Digital Transformation), is that it is about far more than IT. It represents our commitment to transforming the Panasonic Group as a whole.
IT has now become the foundation of business management. We believe that PX should not be judged simply on the basis of ROI. The ultimate measure of PX’s success is the share price of each operating company within the Group — corporate value itself.
In this era of rapid change, the Panasonic Group will continue to advance PX to respond to evolving customer needs, aiming to become a Group that acts swiftly and precisely while delivering new value.

The Panasonic Group's DX strategy
PX is a corporate transformation program that includes DX initiatives. By supporting DX initiatives in each business and strengthening the Group’s IT-enabled management foundation, PX aims to enhance customer experience, improve employee engagement, and drive business model transformation.
Customer Service DX
Delivering Value to Life and Work Through Digital Innovation
Delivering Value to Life and Work Through Digital Innovation
Drive process automation and autonomy by deploying generative AI agents across all supply chain functions, tailored to each role and level.
Applying core technologies (cogeneration, etc.) cultivated through our company's proprietary EMS and Ene-Farm, combining IoT, AI, and data achieves both low TCO * 1 and environmental performance
Under the strong leadership of process owners, our company will redesign the business relationships among distributors, customers, and Panasonic, with demand-driven operations powered by digital technologies, data, and AI as the Key enabler.
We developed an integrated system combines AI, cameras, cloud applications, and other digital technologies. Going forward, this product will continue to evolve its recommendations by learning customer’s preferences and eating habits.
A smart factory is an ecosystem of digital assets and data products that enable rapid adaptability. By breaking down data silos and enabling seamless integration, we have built a next-generation smart factory that unlocks the full potential of both AI (ML/LLM) embedded in manufacturing workflows and human expertise.
Business Operations DX
Supporting Panasonic’s business specialization and operational efficiency
Expansion of human resources Attravting and Developing DX Talent
The Panasonic Group has established its own IT and digital talent framework and provides development programs tailored to different proficiency levels. In addition, we support frontline transformation through a Group-wide network of ambassadors and promote the sharing and institutionalization of best practices through the “On-site PX Contest”.
Obtained DX Certification
Panasonic Holdings Corporation obtained DX Certification from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, effective April 1, 2026.
The DX Certification System is a national program based on the "Act on Partial Revision of the Act on Facilitation of Information Processing," which came into effect in May 2020. It recognizes businesses that have established systems to promote DX, including the formulation and public disclosure of management visions aligned with social transformations driven by digital technology.
The Panasonic Group is advancing PX, which includes DX initiatives, as part of its efforts to realize its vision : “Bring happiness to Life. Bring happiness to Work. It’s Digital, it’s our value.”
Driving Faster and Better Management Through PX
Driving Faster and Better Management Through PX
The rapid advancement of Digital Transformation (DX) has become a critical management imperative—one that can even determine the future survival of a company. I firmly believe that, for the Panasonic Group to achieve sustainable growth and enhance its corporate value, it is essential to position “transformation through digital technology” as a core management agenda and further increase our contribution to society.
In 2021, I personally took ownership of and officially launched “PX : Panasonic Transformation“ as the Panasonic Group’s approach to DX, built around two key pillars : “Customer Service DX” and “Business Operations DX.”
PX is a corporate transformation program for the entire Panasonic Group. Each and every member of the Group is driving PX forward with enthusiasm, envisioning the future we aspire to create through PX.
