A very charming film. Nice use of a fairy tale as a metaphor to explain the concept between sports and the competitive study environment. The beautiful shot composition, selective depth-of field and visual quality shows the important message for kids to realize that hard work is important and not just being the best. An engaging video that gradually pulls the viewer in and ‘joins the dots’ in its storytelling. The narrative was very well told and funny. A brilliantly beautiful film! The team here has done a simply awesome job of expertly crafting a production that is very easy to watch and also stands up to repeat viewing. A wonderful concept of how one focuses all senses to a world that we do not notice through sounds, a “symphony”. Synchronization of the background music, various sounds and scenes around daily life was impressive and professional. “Afflictions” is impressive and courageous. An emotionally powerful story conveying the message of PTSD from a conflict situations affecting civilians. The manner in which the support group scenes are shot and edited compared with the different style we see used in the disaster scenes shows that this team has a very good understanding of filmic techniques. “Afflictions” is impressive and courageous.
