At the Olympic Winter Games Sochi 2014, Panasonic achieved high-speed, high-definition International Feed production by making use of the P2HD series, broadcasting equipment with superior mobility. In addition Panasonic supplied the IBC (International Broadcast Centre) and the Host Broadcaster with a large number of equipment such as 100 units of P2HD cameras (P2HD recorders/P2HD cameras) and 4,000+ monitors. The Full HD digital video format, “AVC-Intra100,” was used again following its success at London 2012. The network-based work flow allowed for broadcasters to send high-quality footage all over the world in a timely manner, contributing to the digitalization of media equipment.
