The Panasonic Group in Malaysia held its Panasonic Fun Run & Recycle Day at Taman Botani Park in Shah Alam, a city near Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, August 26, blessed with sunny weather. This year, 758 employees from 14 Panasonic Group companies participated in two activities.

The first was the Fun Run event. The Fun Run event is a 4.7 km run for physical and mental health. Following the starting signal from Mr. Hosokawa, Managing Director of PMAM and Ms. Nakagawa, Managing Director of PAVCKM, the participating employees ran together in matching green t-shirts. Running together all at once allowed the employees to cultivate interaction among each other and develop a sense of unity as a team.

The second activity was the Recycle event. On the day of the event, participants collected clothes, fabrics, books, plastic containers, glass products and used cooking oil. Clothes and books that were deemed usable were sent free of charge to people in need, and other items were disassembled to its basic material level to be used for remaking into new products. Through these activities, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of waste reduction and waste segregation, and to grow zero waste for a sustainable living environment.
