The Panasonic Group is working on the "LIGHT UP THE FUTURE - A project to illuminate the future of areas without electricity" to bring "light" to people in areas without electricity. Through "AKARI Action," we aim to create a poverty-free society by converting donations received from everyone into solar lanterns and delivering them to people living in areas without electricity to create opportunities for "education," "health," and "increased income."
This time, solar lanterns were donated to two villages (Telong Village, Sijuk District, Bangka Belitung Province, and Gili Asahan Island Village, Kechi Province) through PT Panasonic Gobel Indonesia (PGI). Power shortages are recognized as a social issue in Indonesia, and it is hoped that the lanterns will light up homes at night, enabling children to study and do housework. We hope that this will help improve the lives of the residents, even if only a little. Donation ceremonies were held in both villages, and the day was filled with the smiles of the residents who participated.
Panasonic aims to continue to use light to illuminate the hearts of people living in areas without electricity and to foster a brighter future full of possibilities.
