Service Overview
Autonomous vehicles can drive themselves, but are left stuck and waiting when something unusual happens. “X-Area Remote” allows one remote operator to manage several vehicles at a time - letting the autonomous vehicle do most of the work, but allowing the remote operator to take over within seconds when there is trouble, keeping your service running smoothly and on time.
Safe and Easy User Interface
The “X-Area Remote” has advanced technology to send video over standard 4G or 5G networks in real-time, even over constantly changing mobile networks. The AI support system is always monitoring the vehicle, and quickly alerts the operator to difficult situations and prioritize actions during the complex situations that can occur during real service.
Hacking and unauthorized control of the vehicle is a universal concern. The system is designed with security in mind, but smart AI security system is always watching how the vehicle is operating, and can quickly detect if something is wrong.

Case Studies
Pasona Panasonic Business Service
We launched an autonomous ride-share service on the Panasonic Holdings Osaka campus, helping employees move around the large area. The system was controlled by “X-Area Remote”, where one operator could manage 4 passenger vehicles at a time.
Rakuten Group and Seiyu
In a residential neighborhood in the city of Tsukuba in Ibaraki Prefecture, we provided delivery services from a supermarket to private homes for more than 2,000 products, including fresh, refrigerated, and frozen foods, boxed meals, deli foods, and daily necessities.
NAGASE and EasyMile
We have integrated X-Area Remote with the TractEasy - EasyMile's autonomous intelligent towing tractor, for which NAGASE is promoting business development.
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus
We conducted a trial of the “X-Area Remote” system and towing tractor to transport vehicle engines required for production.
Mitsubishi Estate and The Council for Area Development and Management of Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho
Our robot sold capsule toys, beverages, and other items to pedestrians on the Marunouchi Naka-dori Street located in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward. This trial was the first instance of product sales carried out solely by robots in Japan.
