ECO RELAY Beach Cleanup Held in Taiwan
— 421 Employees and Family Members Joined Hands to Protect the Beautiful Coastline for the Future —

The Panasonic Taiwan Group 2025 ECO RELAY Beach Cleanup took place with great enthusiasm on October 18 at Xiaoliao Beach in Wanli District, New Taipei City. The event was jointly organized by Panasonic Taiwan, PTW, and PAVCTW, PIDMTW, bringing together a total of 421 employees and their family members who took concrete action to protect Taiwan’s beautiful coastline.

Under the bright and sunny weather, participants’ enthusiasm remained undiminished despite the heat. Adults and children alike donned gloves, picked up tongs, and devoted themselves to collecting litter along the shore— demonstrating their firm commitment to environmental preservation. Many families joined together, turning the cleanup not only into a community action but also into a vivid hands-on lesson in marine education.

Mr. Huang Cheng-Chen, President of Taiwan Panasonic, remarked, “Panasonic has been engaged in beach cleanup activities since 2010, marking our 16th consecutive year. What we are picking up is not just trash—it’s a responsibility and promise we pass on to the next generation.” At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Yoshihisa Takoura, President of PIDMTW, also encouraged participants, saying, “I hope everyone will carry today’s spirit into their everyday lives. By starting with small actions such as reducing single-use plastics, we can make sustainability a daily habit.”

This year’s event also incorporated marine ecology education, helping participants better understand the sources and impacts of marine waste through waste sorting and observation activities, and inspiring reflection on how to reduce pollution at its source.
Guided by the belief that “a corporation is a public entity of society,” the Panasonic Group continues to promote ESG awareness among employees through its ongoing ECO RELAY initiatives. We believe that protecting the environment is not only a corporate responsibility, but also the most precious gift we can leave for future generations. Going forward, we will continue to expand our impact and invite more partners to join us in safeguarding the oceans.
