Initiatives for zero CO2 emissions at Panasonic Group sites

Why does the Panasonic Group tackle challenges to reduce CO2 emissions?
Since its foundation in 1918, the Panasonic Group has dedicated all of its energy to business activities aimed at contributing to societal progress and development, as well as enhancing the well-being of people, thereby improving the quality of life worldwide.
Currently, our group is manufacturing products in approximately 250 factories around the world, and more than 1 billion people are using Panasonic products.
We believe that our top priority is to reduce CO2 emissions in society and resolve global warming. We address this issue by reducing CO2 emissions from factories and products, and developing products that contribute to CO2 reduction.

Initiatives at zero-CO2 factories
In order to achieve zero CO2 emissions at factories, we are reducing energy consumption, using renewable energy to replace electricity derived from fossil fuels, and compensating for any shortages by procuring electricity from renewable energy suppliers.
