The third season of Panasonic SWING has concluded after three events, the Thailand OPEN, Panasonic OPEN INDIA and BNI Indonesian Masters, with the remaining two events canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.*
The SWING rankings were determined with the total points obtained in the three events held, with Panasonic OPEN INDIA winner, Joohyung Kim (South Korea) taking the overall victory with a total of 2172.60 points. Kim, just 17 at the time of the tournament, has made incredible achievements since Panasonic OPEN INDIA, bursting onto the Asian stage.
“I’m thrilled to win the Panasonic SWING. It has been a solid run for me. I would like to thank everyone who has helped me in my journey so far. A big thank you to Panasonic for their support as well. This is a great boost to me. I will continue to work hard,” said Kim.
In the SWING rankings, Shiv Kapur (India) came in second with 1960 points, and John Catlin (USA) took third with 1903.60 points. The total prize money was reduced to US $90,000 for due to the truncated season, with Kim awarded US $50,000, Kapur taking US $25,000 and Catlin bringing home US $15,000.
