FY2023 Panasonic ECO RELAY Activities Begin Across China
In preparation for World Environment Day on June 5, Panasonic Group factories in China conducted a variety of environment-related “ECO RELAY” activities in Guangdong, Guangzhou, and Suzhou, with about 850 employees and related parties participating.
■April 27, Panasonic Connected Solutions (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. (PCNSGD)
Employee volunteers conducted environmental protection activities under the theme of “all for the protection of the environment and the protection of the environment for all.” About 120 people cleaned the inside and the area around the corporate complex with brooms and shovels. As a result, the environment inside and around the corporate complex has improved significantly. Employee volunteers raised awareness of the importance of environmental protection and made contributions to the local community.
■May 21, Panasonic Wanbao Appliances Compressor (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd.(PWAPCGZ)
A social contribution activity entitled “30 Years of the Craftsman’s Spirit, Winning the Future Through Knowledge Creation” was held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the company’s establishment. Before starting their environmental activities, a relay race was held for the first time to mark the 30th anniversary of the company, with 30 voluntary runners divided into teams and taking on the challenge of a 30 km relay. This continued into their activities, in which environmental protection volunteers picked up trash, promoted environmental protection, and played games to separate garbage. More than 700 people participated in the activities, which attracted a high level of interest and appreciation from the community.
■May 27, Panasonic Energy (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (PECSZ)
A volunteer environmental protection and publicity team was formed with 20 employee volunteers and 10 subway staff to carry out activities. The 30 volunteer staff members wore identical outfits and worked in subway cars and other locations to offer suggestions for environmentally friendly subway outings. Later, they distributed pamphlets that provided suggestions for environmentally friendly ways for citizens to have outings in the Mudu Lingyanshan Scenic Spot, and also promoted garbage separation and other pieces of knowledge on environmental protection.
